HOW DID LOVE ACUPUNCTURE COME ABOUT?

"My journey with Chinese medicine started when I was a child, with my father cooking raw herbs on the stove. At that time, I didn’t understand Chinese Medicine and as I looked at the boiling leaves and sticks, with it’s offensive smell, thought,
Who would drink this!
As the years went by, I found that when I was sick and in desperate need of help with my health,I always turned towards Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
At one point in my life,I became gravely sick, for over three years. I was young women with an unexplainable digestive problems where no-one was able to help me or give me any explanation as to why. I had multiple food intolerances, with an inability to digest foods appropriately. I had issues with my skin and nails, I was underweight and forever throwing up due to severe stomach pain. Many doctors appointments and testings again and again gave me no answers as to why. Their only solution was medication.
It was in this time I found my way back to Chinese Medicine. It was one particular practitioner, who I will be forever grateful, who changed my life. She explained many things about my health and body and why these things were happening to me. She explained the interaction of emotions, environment, diet and the importance of a balanced lifestyle in order to maintain health. It was astounding to learn that these small and simple things have the biggest impact on our mind, body and soul. It was enlightening to know, I wasn't broken and I could heal myself. Together we worked to harmonise my body. She empowered me to take charge and was able to take back my life.
After this life changing experience, I couldn't help but think that more people should be aware of this old, traditional healing modality. Thousands of years of tried and true medicine deserves to be known.
If I could help at least one person, as much as she had helped me, I knew it would be worth it!
With this in mind, I began my studies, completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture.
Upon finishing, I decided to pursue my dream and work within a variety of different clinics, gathering as much experience as possible. In this was I could also share my passion of Chinese Medicine and bring health and well being to as many people as possible."
